Dr. Wheeler is experienced in providing therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and couples, as well as providing biofeedback and neurofeedback services. She provides these services as an associate in the group practice Bright Path Therapy & Associates, LLC, located within the Wayne Counseling Center.
Dr. Wheeler is skilled in providing therapy to individuals of all ages who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, relational problems, health concerns, stress, and difficulties navigating life transitions. Additionally, Dr. Wheeler has a strong background in the treatment of adults with PTSD and unresolved trauma symptoms related to childhood abuse. Her expertise in trauma treatment interventions, in combination with biofeedback approaches, enhances her ability to help patients work within the mind-body connection to foster self-regulation of emotion and behavior.
Dr. Wheeler’s approach to psychotherapy emphasizes respect for each individual’s unique needs and qualities, a willingness to be flexible, and authenticity. It is her belief that the therapeutic relationship can nurture personal growth and promote individuals to acknowledge their inner strength and full potential.
Dr. Wheeler is a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of Pennsylvania, and is board certified to provide neurofeedback. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Binghamton University in New York. She earned both her Master’s degree and her Doctorate of Psychology in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) from the American School of Professional Psychology in Washington, D.C., where she graduated with high honors.
