All of us are faced with challenges at some point in our lives. Life is unpredictable and we cannot always control situations and events that affect us. I help people deal with life and health challenges, expand their internal resources and make positive adjustments so they can improve their wellbeing and regain balance in their lives. I work with individuals and couples, provide consultation to health professionals, and do educational workshops and presentations for organizations.
I am a licensed psychologist with a clinical focus on adjustment to medical illness and disability, health psychology, life transitions and depression. Additional areas of interest include: women's health, caregiving, stress management, grief counseling, life transitions and mindfulness.
I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and have been in practice since 1990. I previously worked at Moss Rehab, Council for Relationships, Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, and as a consultant at several medical centers in the area.
I am a member of the American Psychological Association and a Board member of the Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists. I am a Board Certified Telehealth Professional and I am fluent in Spanish.
I see clients at my Wayne office and provide telehealth sessions. I can be reached at (610) 964-8165.
