- P.T.
I am pleased to introduce myself as a Physical Therapist who has developed a focus in treating the whole person through manual therapy, myofascial release and craniosacral therapy.
My skills in pediatrics address areas that include developmental progressions, Neurodevelopment Treatment (NDT),
plagiocephaly, and orthopedic/neurologic areas such as torticollis, spina bifida, traumatic brain injury, scoliosis, sensory integration/processing,
attention deficit disorders, Cerebral Palsy, idiopathic toe walking, post-operative tendon lengthening/transfers, osteotomies,
selective dorsal root Rhizotomy as well as post-Botox injections.
I also serve adults with chronic pain (including pelvic area) brought on by trauma, poor posture over time,
surgery (scarring), birthing, and related diagnoses of plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia, and endometriosis , carpal tunnel and other repetitive strain patterns.
All this is complementary to currently utilized approaches received from chiropractors, osteopaths, massage therapy, traditional PT/OT/ST, psychotherapy, movement therapies,
gym/fitness programs, yoga, Pilates, taichi, etc.
•
Practicing skills gained from certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment for children and infants;
•
Expanding into refinement and evaluation of movement, use of adaptive equipment as well as broadening more into creative treatment options when providing for children and infants;
•
Additional education to refine skills including Orthotic/Splinting, Gait training, Manual Therapy (Mobilization for children with Cerebral Palsy,
Myofascial Release with craniosacral application) for correction of postural alignment, flexibility, optimizing muscle use and strength;
•
Training and experience which are significant in addressing the physical, emotional, spiritual effects of trauma when working with
individuals in chronic pain, immobility or impaired function.
